Teacher leaders assume many roles, sharing the wealth of their experiences beyond the classroom. Leadership can take many forms as teachers lead both formally and informally, collaborating to support their peers, and promote student and school success. In Teacher Leadership Part 1, candidates will explore such concepts as foundational theory, pedagogical leadership, leadership pathways, effective communication, mindful leadership, empowerment, and transformative teacher leadership. From this holistic and integrated exploration, candidates will begin to formulate what it means to be an equitable and ethical leader.
