Through acceptance, curiosity and understanding, teachers can be supported to create a safe environment that meets the needs of their complex students within one-on-one or group settings. This course is designed for teachers interested in understanding and examining the importance of creating a safe space for all students who have experienced loss, trauma, abuse and/or neglect. The course explores the value of selecting and implementing various restorative materials and strategies that students can use to engage themselves in creative imagery or make recurring images in art, sand play, and general play indoors and in the natural environment.
