This course will provide students with understanding of the field of Extreme-scale Systems with an emphasis on Extreme-Scale networks. Students will learn the fundamentals of Extreme-scale systems networks and an ability to read, understand, discuss and critique research. Use cases like Scientific computing, AI/ML, big data and commercial applications will be discussed. (3.0 credit units). PREREQUISITE: ELEC 373 (networks) or equivalent. Pre-requisites may be waived with permission of the instructor.
