This course investigates historical and contemporary concerns regarding the representation of explicit sexual activity on screen. To do so, it explores a range of topic including questions of censorship and artmaking practices, moral panics and public safety, industry and criminal connections, audience reception, labour issues and sex work, and representational politics.
