Competition law promises to be a fundamental government tool of business discipline in the global economy of the 21st century. This course examines the fundamentals of Canadian competition law, including its rationales, constitutional roots, enforcement mechanisms, as well as substantive provisions of the Competition Act. Among other hot topics, we will also examine the implementation of the amendments introduced by the Budget Implementation Act, 2009 ("Bill C-10"). (To be offered jointly with LAW-446.)
