The course focuses on the following subjects within the field of Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM): robot kinematics and applications in CIM, machine-vision-based inspection, virtual modelling of CIM workcells, and workcell control and scheduling. Laboratory work allows students to learn robot programming and workcell control. Students complete a course project where they design a PLC-based control strategy for a manufacturing workcell.
