This course examines social impacts of major project (mining, energy, infrastructure) development and growing expectation for industry to avoid destabilization associated with land disturbance and loss, in-migration, resettlement and livelihood loss, particularly for remote and Indigenous communities. Students will develop the business case for engagement and capacity building. (3.0 credit units)
