This course will combine production and theory in order for students to develop innovative, interdisciplinary, and informed media practice. It will include modules in conceptualizing, producing, and dissemination, as well as structured peer-feedback sessions. The course builds on students' technical capabilities, and each student will design their own creative project and execute it with technical and conceptual support from the instructor. While there are no prerequisites for this course, it is designed for students who are also practicing artists. This is a core course for all graduate students in Screen Cultures and Curatorial Studies. Offered jointly with SCCS 920. Students who have completed SCCS 920, cannot take SCCS 820 unless the course content/instructor are different. (3.0 credit units)
