Graduate course examining the key critical and theoretical tenets of Screen Cultures and curatorial studies. The course shall have both historical and contemporary components in order to situate students within various fields of debate. An emphasis shall be placed on methodologies that best mobilize theoretical works in academic and artistic practices. An emphasis is placed on writing, editing, and integrating revisions while articulating the theoretical backbone of students' projects. This is a core course for all graduate students in Screen Cultures and Curatorial Studies. Offered jointly with SCCS 812. Students who have completed SCCS 812, cannot take SCCS 912 unless the course content/instructor are different. (3.0 credit units)
