An overview of computer graphics covering rendering, modeling, and animation. Topics include geometric primitives and modeling; image formation algorithms such as ray tracing and the Z-buffer; lighting, shading, and texture; and introduction to physics-based animation and character animation. Includes: Experiential Learning Activity Prerequisite(s): COMP 2401 with a minimum grade of C-, COMP 2402, MATH 1007, and (MATH 1104 or MATH 1107). Lectures/lab four hours a week. [0.5 credits]
