Overview of Indigenous global media exploring film and film festivals, television networks, media arts, and the Internet. We will discuss struggles over mediated self- representation as well as debates over what constitutes Indigenous media relating to aesthetics, community affiliation, and identity. Includes: Experiential Learning Activity Prerequisite(s): fourth year Honours standing in Communication and Media Studies (including BGInS related specializations), or permission of the School of Journalism and Communication.
