Ottoman Middle East This course studies the impact of Woodrow Wilson’s advocacy of self-determination and of the League of Nations on the Post-Ottoman Middle East. Focusing on particular case studies, the course analyzes characteristics, long-term consequences, and local responses to the Mandate system. Prerequisite(s): a 2000-level history course or third-year standing and 1.0 credit in History. Lectures three hours a week.
