Introduction to nursing skills including such activities as safety, assessment of vital signs, comfort measures, assistance with daily living activities, environmental concerns, positioning and transporting. We will become familiar with the nursing process, communication and documentation tools. An introduction to the simulation center is highlighted in this class. Orientation to clinical sites and expectations for clinical rotation, as well as mandatory clinical site requirements will be completed. Prerequisites: Admission to the BSN program or approval from the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Credits 2. 1 Lecture Hour. 1 Lab Hour.
