The primary purpose of this course is to develop competency in application of several major organizational theories to health care systems. During the semester, students will become familiar with central assumptions, predictions, and implications of the following theories: sociology of professions, culture and climate, social networks, agency and stewardship, resource dependence, institutional theory, and change implementation. Credits 3. 3 Lecture Hours.
