The transport of energy, mass and momentum is essential to the function of all non-living and living systems. This course will serve as an introduction to momentum transport (i.e., fluid mechanics), and will primarily focus on the basic mechanisms of momentum transport and its application to the analysis of real world flows. Prereq: 2200, and Math 2173 or 2177 or 2415, and enrollment in CBE, FABEng, or EngPhysics major; or Grad standing; or permission of instructor.
