An overview of signaling pathways activated intrinsically or extrinsically by signals from other cells in their microenvironment, and to address the role of these pathways in the regulation of basic biological functions and the overall biology of normal and cancer cells. Prereq: Grad standing in the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program, the Ohio State Biochemistry Program, the Molecular Genetics Graduate Program, or the Medical Scientist Training Program; or Sr standing in a biological sciences major, MolGen 4606, and 4500; or permission of instructor.
