This elective course provides dental and dental hygiene students with a global service-learning field experience focused on understanding global oral health and cultural competencies. Combining community-based education with structured reflection, this course integrates global health perspectives and cultural competencies through study and/or practice abroad, as well as reflective exercises. Prereq: Dental students and/or Dental Hygiene students in good academic standing. Dental Program and Academic year eligibility is based on specific program requirements. Prereq or Concur: Dent 5798.01. Repeatable to a maximum of 2 cr hrs. This course is graded S/U.
