This course is designed to provide the future dental hygiene educator with an appreciation of foundations of teaching and learning, essential teaching skills, importance of communication in teaching, instructional planning, instructional strategies/activities, assessment fundamentals, methods of assessment, teaching in higher education, and personal philosophy of teaching. Prereq: Admission to UDHY major.
