This course explores notions of disaster, forced displacement, crisis and recovery in Latinx graphic narratives of the 21st century. Students will experience comics as a unique and full-bodied communication form putting special emphasis on non-fictional comic art created, produced, and distributed by Latinx-identified multidisciplinary sources and independent artists.
