This course centers Cultural Studies, History, Legal Studies, Sociology, critical theories of migration, race and racialization to illustrate how perceptions of migrants and prejudice against them affects internal perceptions and hierarchies, transnational interactions, and even precipitates and perpetuates conflict in Europe, particularly in Eastern Europe.
