This interdisciplinary course introduces students to the History, Politics, Cultures, and Identities of Bolivia. It explores its main geographical regions; the heritage and traditions of its peoples; and the different political and cultural currents within the country and its different regions. Students will be encouraged to think critically about Bolivia, the U.S. and different global forces. Spanish 4516 (taught in English) recommended, but not required. Prereq: GE foundation lit, vis and performing arts course; or GE foundation historical and cultural studies course; or GE foundation race, ethnicity and gender div course. GE education abroad course.
