This course will provide a space to discuss and deconstruct the history, theoretical foundations, and practices of bilingual education in the United States, with a particular focus on the experiences of immigrant children. Participants will explore the definitions and characteristics of bilingual education, including its historical, political, legal, and ideological foundations. Prereq: Not open to students with credit for EduTL 5301.
