Topics include the conceptual framework; accounting standards; the accounting cycle; recording and analyzing transactions; adjusting and closing entries; financial statements; internal control, cash and bank reconciliations; short-term investments and receivables; inventory purchases and sales; inventory costing methods; long-term assets including intangibles; current and long-term liabilities including bonds payable; shareholders' equity including earnings per share; statement of cash flows using the indirect and direct methods; and financial statement analysis.
