Students learn how to support economic growth through strategic land management, property rights, and regulatory development under Land Code, exploring tools such as Government Business Enterprises and Economic Development Corporations. Topics include strengthening investor confidence, promoting residential and commercial development, and promoting a streamlined approach to Additions to Reserve. Through lectures and case studies, students analyze legal, policy, and planning tools essential for Indigenous self-governance and economic reconciliation, comparing property rights systems under the Indian Act and Land Code.
