Students are introduced to the variety of techniques commonly used to analyze and interpret images using filtering, edge detection, feature detection, and segmentation etc. Students learn approaches to basic vision problems, formulating physical models of the imaging process 2D and 3D and explore various motion analysis techniques and algorithms. Students explore fundamental techniques and current research literature in computer vision. Prerequisite: Admission to the Graduate program in Engineering.
