Students learn various quantitative skills relevant for success in economics and business masters programs. Topics include, review of algebra, functional forms, discounting and net present value, and graphing; introduction to calculus and optimization; basics of financial accounting; basics of management accounting. Students will learn to apply these techniques to various examples from environmental economics, resource economics, sustainability, and management.
