This practicum serves as an orientation for teacher candidates and teacher mentors for the certification practicum. Teacher candidates demonstrate positive relationships with the school community and establish classrooms routines and behavior expectations as part of productive classroom management. Placed individually, Teacher candidates integrate Indigenous worldviews and perspectives into learning experiences and adhere to the BC Standards of professional educators. Teacher candidates create and implement an assessment plan as well as design and implement consecutive, evidence-based learning experiences. Prerequisite: Admission to the TRU Bachelor of Education Elementary program. A criminal record check is also required.
