Students consider the core principles and practices integral to addressing, articulating, and communicating about Wildfires within British Columbia, Canada, and globally. Students explore various methods of relaying pertinent and timely information prior to, during, and within the aftermath of wildfires. By examining key theories and models, as well as the impact of innovations in media, students will consider the ethical implications for the citizen, the role of social responsibility, and recognize these frameworks outside of dominant cultural constructions as applicable to and, perhaps, dependent upon diverse cultures and communities.
