Institutional Learning Outcomes: Social Responsibility Students examine the interactions between the geosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere and biosphere as well as the impact that human activity and sustainable practices have on these interactions. Course content focuses on the interaction between landscape and the occurrence, distribution and movement of water. Topics include landslides, glaciers, rivers, soils, drought, flooding, wildfires, ground water and the impact of human activity on these phenomena. Through laboratory and field experiences, students will be introduced to tools and techniques used in the study of Earth processes including GIS. Prerequisite: None Exclusion Requisites: GEOG 1120
