This course introduces students to the normal structure and function of the human body and normal bodily changes associated with aging. Students will explore common challenges to health and healing in relation to each body system. Students will also be encouraged to explore person-centered practice as it relates to the common challenges to health and, in particular, to end-of-life care. Prerequisite: Admission to the Health Care Assistant Program Corequisite: HEAL 1000, HEAL 1010, HEAL 1050, HEAL 1100, HEAL 1150, and HEAL 1350 (must be taken at the same time as HEAL 1200). Note: Students will only receive credit for one of HLTH 1201 and HEAL 1200.
