This course builds on concepts introduced in Pathophysiology 1 with an emphasis on complex health alterations. Students will learn about the presentation and pathogenesis of health alterations across the life span. In selected units, diagnostics, epidemiology, epigenetics, nutrition, and environmental impacts will be introduced. Topics will be closely aligned with current nursing practice and connected to concepts in other nursing courses. Prerequisites: NURS 2830 and completion of all 2nd year core courses; NURS 3730, NURS 3170 and NURS 3740 (must all be taken at the same time or before HLSC 3650).
