Institutional Learning Outcomes: Intercultural Awareness Students build on the skills acquired in JAPA 1110 or equivalent to a beginner A1 level in speaking, listening, reading and writing in modern Japanese. Students continue to recognize and respect the value of diverse cultures and worldviews, and further develop and apply intercultural communication skills. Prerequisite: JAPA 1110 or permission of the instructor Note: Students who have completed Japanese in Grade 11 or equivalent within the last two years may not take this course for credit.
