Students choosing this course in Fall must also register for the same section for it in Winter and vice-versa.*** Students are required to conduct an independent investigation into a mathematical topic or problem at the advanced undergraduate level, under the supervision of a member of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. The results of the study are to be typed and submitted as an Honours Thesis, and is defended orally at a public lecture before an examining committee. Prerequisite: Admission into the Mathematics Honours Program (as part of a Bachelor of Science degree or a Bachelor of Arts degree) and the identification of a supervisor
