Institutional Learning Outcomes: Intercultural Awareness Students study a language not regularly offered in the Modern Languages program. The course offered periodically, and the language taught may vary from year to year. Students develop cultural competence and communicative skills in the language in speaking, listening, reading, and writing to a beginner level A1 proficiency. Students learn to recognize and respect the value of diverse cultures and worldviews and develop and apply intercultural communication skills. Prerequisite: MLAN 1110 or instructor permission Note: Native or fluent speakers of the designated language may not take this course for credit.
