Institutional Learning Outcomes: Capstone Students synthesize, interrogate, consolidate, knowledge and skills acquired in their study of philosophy in a Capstone Project. In completing their project students demonstrate, assess, and explain how their Capstone Project meets the program's learning outcomes and each of TRU's four general education themes of Connection, Engagement, Exploration, and Local-to-Global. Students will develop a proposal, pursue research, engage in drafting and revising, and presenting the final product. Students may choose between a Capstone Thesis consisting of a traditional paper or a Capstone Creative Project consisting of an original work based in performance, material, or creative writing that communicates or is thoroughly informed by philosophical ideas and reflections (in addition to an explanatory paper). Prerequisites: Must be taken within the final 30 credits of BA study.
