Institutional Learning Outcomes: Capstone Utilizing their knowledge of vector calculus and partial differential equations students develop a sophisticated understanding and application of Maxwell's equations of electromagnetism. Topics include a review of vector calculus, electro/magneto-dynamics, conservation laws, electromagnetic wave propagation, and special relativity. Students will synthesize work from across their degree in a final research paper. Prerequisite: PHYS 3830 with a score of C or higher and MATH 3170 with a score of C or higher and PHYS 3120 with a score of C or higher or MATH 3160 with a score of C or higher.
