Students explore social influence and interpersonal relationships. Social influence refers to an individual forming new opinions or changing existing opinions and adjusting their behavior due to social interactions with other people. Students apply critical thinking skills to examine social psychological theories and research investigating how others influence us, how we build and strengthen connections with them, and what makes us dislike others. Students investigate topics including attitudes and persuasion, conformity, human aggression, prejudice, close personal relationships, and prosocial behavior. Recommended prerequisites: PSYC 1111, PSYC 1211, PSYC 2111 Note: Students will only receive credit for one of PSYC 3271, PSYC 3621 and PSYC 3080
