Operations management, a critical part of all businesses, is concerned with organizing company resources to produce a good or service. It is concerned with the effective and efficient transformation of inputs into outputs. Students will gain an understanding of the complexities involved in managing manufacturing and service operations. Through lectures and applied activities students will engage with a variety of operations management techniques to improve the competitive performance of the firm. Prerequisite: SCMN 3320, MIST 2610 and ECON 2320. Note: Students may only receive credit for one of SCMN 4310 or BBUS 3331.
