Institutional Learning Outcomes: Critical Thinking and Investigation Students analyze and interpret multivariate data in a number of different contexts. Topics include linear models, analysis of variance and covariance, multivariate analysis of variance, principle component analysis, and tree models. Students explore techniques for exploratory data analysis, model identification, and diagnostic checking. The course involves extensive use of software tools to apply the various analytical approaches. Prerequisite: STAT 2000 with a minimum C- grade or BIOL 3000 with a minimum C- grade Recommended: MATH 2120 or MATH 3020 or STAT 3060 or STAT 4040
