Institutional Learning Outcomes: Critical Thinking and Investigation Students examine photography with an emphasis on European and North American traditions in a global context. The relationship of photography to other disciplines of the visual arts and to media culture is considered. The study of various aesthetic and social movements related to photography, such as modernism, post-modernism, and feminism is also covered. This complements courses in other academic areas that examine material and technological culture in the nineteenth, twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Prerequisite: Completion of 45 credits
