This course examin es the architect’s role in society from multiple perspectives: professional responsibility,disciplinary expertise and citizen activism. This course engages with contemporary social theories and their impact on architecture. Emphasis is placed on the role of ethics and professional judgement, responsibility to the public good, and the role of architecture - both as a professional discipline and as built form - in the establishment, maintenance and/or transformation of social values and political structures.Weekly
