This course will e xamine current selected topics in biology including cloning, today's epidemics, genetically modified foods and environmental issues. Students will be introduced to many fundamental principles of modern biology as well as the history and ethics pertaining to the topics. This course is open to all arts students and has no secondary school biology requirement. (Formerly SCI 181). BLG 181 is not available for credit to students who choose BLG 143 or BLG 144.Weekly
