This course will begin with a short history of virology, then move to an overview of virus replication strategies, with sample viruses from each of the Baltimore classification categories. Prions as well as other unusual infectious elements will also be introduced. The course will emphasize viruses for which Public Health Canada recommends immunization, and end with viruses for which there is no cure.Weekly
