This course is intended for Chemical Engineering students This is an introduction to organic chemistry, covering bonding in organic molecules, nomenclature, isomerism and stereochemistry, organic acids and bases, and a mechanistic approach to understanding fundamental aliphatic and aromatic reactions. Industrial applications will be noted. The laboratory includes introduction to basic organic chemistry techniques.Weekly
