The course explore s the links between gender and food security, starting with a discussion of the concept of gender and a critical historical review of the Women's Movement. Contemporary issues, such as gender roles, social exclusion, resources, control, and labour, are examined, as well as the use of gender analysis and tools. The importance of agency and the effects of public policies and actions on gender equity are studied through case studies from around the world.Weekly
