The world is rapidly becoming a technological and economic "global village" where distance has diminished in importance. Yet in the face of this increasingly 'smaller' but integrated world we see emergent territorial fragmentation where the distinctiveness and role of place has grown in significance. The purpose of this course is to explore the globalization phenomena and the resulting territorial, economic, demographic, conflict, development, resource, health, technological, cultural and environmental issues that arise from it.Weekly
