Recreation and tourism are increasingly important in contemporary society, creating both positive and negative economic, social, and environmental effects at a variety of spatial scales. Many aspects of geographic inquiry are pertinent, including: location decision making concerning facilities and activities; the management and sustainability of recreation resources; and assessment of the impact of changing culture and economy upon regions. This course aims at providing a broad understanding of the spatial behaviour of recreationists and tourists.Weekly
