This introductory entrepreneurship course aims to develop students’ initiative and entrepreneurial thinking in order to help them discover and develop their entrepreneurial potential. Students acquire knowledge on entrepreneurs and the creative process which leads to the development of a project (whether social, commercial, cooperative, artistic, or otherwise). Tangible examples are used to illustrate the passion that fuels entrepreneurs, their need for creation and innovation, and their action orientation. This course plays a key role in the development of entrepreneurial skills. Students are asked to complete the first draft of an entrepreneurial project in order to have a clearer understanding of the imperatives and challenges of launching a project. Since this first draft is far from being a complete business plan, this course should be seen as a first contact with one’s entrepreneurial potential rather than a venture creation course.
