This course will allow students to develop analytical tools designed to solve financial decision problems at the international level. Multinationals’ financial management differs from that of a purely national firm. New variables have to be taken into account, in particular the foreign exchange risk. The first part of the course focuses on the basic concepts of the international financial environment and international financial markets. We then focus on the various tools and strategies designed to manage foreign exchange risk. The second part of the course deals with international finance such as political risk, diversification of an international portfolio and integration of financial markets. Students who have successfully completed GIE-6082 cannot register for this course.
