Water is a precious resource that is all-too-often taken for granted. This course will demonstrate the significance of the various elements of the hydrologic cycle, water quality and water conservation. It will focus on water supply systems, and water resource management issues locally, in rural areas, and across the globe. The students will learn of common water quality problems, including causes, and pathways that contaminants follow to reach water and groundwater, and learn practical lab skills for the testing and analysis of water quality.
